US special forces kill IS leader in Syria raid ...

SYRIA - US Special Forces have killed the leader of IS during a raid in Syria.

Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi was among 13 people reportedly killed in the attack on a house in the rebel-held province of Idlib.

There were no US military casualties.

"I will deliver remarks to the American people later this morning," said US President Joe Biden in a statement.

"May God protect our troops."
